SDG 4: Education for life with Floris Koot
I was invited for an interview to the Change Makers podcast that supports the Sustainable Development Goals. Here's a link to the podcast.
Floris has contributed to several publications on innovative education. He co-founded 3 schools, of which Knowmads in Amsterdam is best known. He believes education must empower students towards purposeful participation. Help them explore their gifts, even if these don't fit the standard norms. Or as Floris says in his TEDx talk: "Measurability in education is a war crime." Messy play is a deeply undervalued learning tool.
Here are examples of his work.

We need an integrated approach to education and personal development. Students need to be trained as a whole being, from body awareness to insight, how their work fits into the larger scheme of things. Companies would benefit much from people trained in such a way.
